The Democracy of Writing                  by Rima Sayegh Janho

Most of the times people ask me:" Is it really me who is writing those editorials?"
Is it that I am proficient in both Arabic & English grammar & linguistics?
Does anybody help me in this matter?
Is it a simple or intricate task to accomplish?
Add to these a lot of probing & criticizing questions. I am not trying to change or conceal the truth. On the contrary, I reiterate a poet's saying: "The mastic's bearer is not void of redolent." I will try to explain how these editorials are fashioned & what phases it passes through.
Editorials are to be estranged into two types:
·       Unequivocal editorials that elucidate an issue thoroughly & comment or criticize it
·
Editorials that encompass an issue, then comments on it through corresponding ideas which diverge from the issue's superficiality. It takes in critics, suggestions, circuitous endeavors. In addition, it is written an exhilarating & smooth style. That is the kind of editorials that I write.

The success of my editorials is based on four main pillars:
First, the selection of an issue: it is usually a very well exposed one, featured article or an issue that matters most, if not all, readers
Second, making use of the issue's details in order to give it an intensified meaning more than what shows to the reader.
This per say is one of the most important & critical pillars. The analogs should have been developed in our minds so that we would be able to create particulars & connotations in an appealing and comprehensible manner for the reader.

Third, the Arabic language review & its fundamentals; we must pay attention to the vocabulary & grammar & to the linguistics.
Fourth, the assembly of the ending; most of the times the idea of the ending develops in our minds since the start of the editorial. In addition, the ending might in some cases be the basics of the editorial.
Shortly, this is the style I utilize to engrave my editorials .
I do not claim perfection, God only possess this quality
That is why I supply not less than three of the four basic pillars that I mentioned before.
I pursue a democratic route in my lifestyle, work, and in dealing with people, family members & my children.
Why won't I pursue a democratic route in writing my editorials?
